We did the northern lights tour on the 11th December. Our tour guide Klaus was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about the northern lights. He was very friendly and informative about what was happening above us in the sky's and got some amazing group shots. If you go to Iceland and do this tour and you get Klaus as your guide you won't be disappointed! Read Less

I was so nervous about the chance of missing the northern lights. My first tour was canceled because of weather, but I rebooked for the next day and the company was very accommodating and quick to respond. Our tour guide Maggie was knowledgeable about the lights and was very blunt and honest about our chances of seeing them. We stayed an extra hour to see them which was really nice of him. Right before we pulled off they came out and it was amazing. He let us stay an additional 15-20 minutes to see them even though we were wayyyy behind schedule. But we really appreciated him for this. You have to have lots of patience, but it was worth it. Icing on the cake was that one of the couples from our tour group got engaged. It was all very picturesque. Read Less

This was a bucket list item for us so we were so pleased to see the Northern Lights! Our guide Maggi did a great job of setting our expectations and teaching us how the aurora borealis is forecasted. He helped us set up our phones so that we could get nice pictures of the lights and he took our photos with them as well on his professional camera and gave them to us for a small fee. He also explained that different people can see different levels of color in the northern lights. In the pictures here, I could see all of these lights as shapes but they all looked pale green to me. My husband was able to see some red in them. It was so fun to look at the pictures after and recognize the shapes we had been seeing but in full color. Maggi turned me into a pro as I was able to spot them on my own on our last night as we were driving into Reykjavik from a different tour. Maggi was also kind enough to personally drop off my husband's beanie to us that he had left behind on the van. We would highly recommend going with this company to see the aurora borealis! This was our favorite part of our trip! Read Less

Oh, where to even begin!?! Maggi is just the best! This tour was an incredibly special and intimate look into the incredible Northern Lights. This is a HUNT! I think many folks just assume you drive 20 minutes and the lights are just there - NO. This is a legit outdoor ADVENTURE - and it's incredible.Maggi is one of the most honest, genuine, incredible people we had the pleasure to meet. You can tell that hunting for these lights is his absolute passion and he gives this trip his all. Not only does he drive the van and act as tour guide, he is hunting for these lights the entire time (WHICH IS SUPER HARD WORK), ensuring your group has the most magical time possible. He's essentially doing the work of three people; it's amazing.If you're expecting a short, concise trip - don't go and don't waste Maggi's energy. If you're in search of an adventure with an incredibly talented human being, do yourself a favor and book.We appreciate you more than you know, Maggi! He was very service minded and charged our phones😊 He was a good story teller and explained a lot about the icelandic way of living combined with a recording in english.
